MAKEUPALLEY REVIEW: Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller Sheer Tint

what is it?
Instantly roll away dark circles. Caffeine Gel + Rollerball energizes and stimulates microcirculation. Lemon Essence brightens. Tinted mineral pigments instantly corrects dark circles. Over time, lack of sleep and daily fatigue make eyes look tired. Microcirculation slows and the delicate skin around the eyes becomes thinner and more translucent. Dark circles and shadows appear. After cleansing with Nutri-Pure, use Skin Renew Anti-Sun-Damage Daily Moisture Lotion SPF 28. Apply Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller in the morning and as needed throughout the day. For advanced care, incorporate into your routine: Skin Renew Radiance Moisture Cream - Clinically tested and reviewed by dermatologists and ophthamologists. In 1 week: eyes look bright. Dermatologist tested for safety. Ophthalmologist tested. Gentle to skin. Allergy tested. Non-greasy.

things to rave about
  • Easy to Blend: "It is very thin in consistency, making is easy to blend in and smooth out, but it still gives a sheer coverage." by branny43
  • Lightly Conceals: "The coverage is not full, but it still covers well and looks very natural, and you can use it to cover any uneven tone around your nose/chin/etc. as well as undereyes." by caartist
  • Natural: "What I also love is how natural this looks. I can wear this and no other makeup and you wouldn’t be able to tell. It seems to just blend right in." by kissjacksparrow
  • Good for Spot Concealing: "I also found it to be very good for spot concealing on my face, although to be honest I don't have serious issues to cover. I do have some post acne hyperpigmentation though, and the occasional blemish. I've found it more than adequate to address those minor issues. I've also found that because it does have a very light consistency, it can be layered to a degree without becoming cakey or unnatural looking." by  blog_antanogist
  • Doesn't Crease: "It didn't crease or cake or get that odd-spider webby texture that some concealers do. For that reason, I think it makes me look fresher and more youthful than a heavy duty product. " by shmoo
  • Matte Finish: "Dries quickly and to a matte finish: it's not glossy, shiny or glittery which is great." by sbginata
  • Long Lasting: "Normally at work, because I work with lots of machines running and big laminators, I can get kind of sweaty and melt off my face products, but this stuff lasted from almost 12 hours without budging at work, and it lasted another day running around outside in the hot weather and changing clothes constantly." bynurken
  • Reduces Under-Eye Puffiness: "The combination of the rollerball applicator and the caffeine in the product are supposed to stimulate microcirculation and for me, really seem to reduce the under-eye puffiness that I sometimes wake up with in the morning. " by dawn65
  • Brightens: "But not only does this control my dark eye circles and minimize the appearance of them, but it also instantly brightens up my entire face." by LizLaughandLove
  • Unique Roller Ball: "The applicator is unique in that you use a metal roller ball – similar to that of a roll on perfume – to apply it under the eye. It gives a slight sheen that really brightens the are making it look much improved. The roller is cool to the touch, and feels surprisingly nice when you apply." by starbuck65

things to rant about
  • Unsanitary Roller Ball: "The packaging is also pretty bad. I'm not a germaphobe like some people on here, but the rollerball didn't feel very sanitary. I definitely would have preferred a squeeze tube. Also it's hard to dispense the product sometimes because of the way the packaging is designed." by magetha
  • Ingredients: "Also I cringe looking at the foul ingredients list and have decided there was probably nothing in it that was actually beneficial to my sensitive eye area so I'll pass on using this item again."  by dearlynars
  • Oxidizes: "It's so off from my skintone I can't believe it, it;s not even a skin colour, it is dark orange; I am shocked! The color change is so dramatic, I've never seen something oxidize so badly! It was also VERY yellow, i wish it had a pink undertone to brighten - that probably would have saved this product and avoided the oxidizing thing." by Chinadoll3

is it for you?
YES:
Want a natural, light concealer for dark under-eye circles
Prefer a matte finish rather than a dewy/wet look
 Need a LONG lasting concealer

NO:

Unwilling to deal with the potentially unsanitary roller ball applicator

 Very fair skinned
Have sensitive skin that reacts negatively to harsh ingredients
